If you are a commercial drone pilot operating under the FAA’s Part 107 regulations, it is essential to keep your Remote Pilot Certificate current. The FAA requires pilots to renew their certification every 24 months to ensure they stay up to date with the latest regulations and safety practices.

Complete the Free Online Training Course

To renew your Part 107 certificate, follow these steps:

  1. Visit the FAA Safety Team (FAASTeam) Part 107 Recurrent Training Course
Go to the FAA's Safety Team’s website and log in or create an account.

  2. Complete the Training Modules
Work through the interactive training modules, which cover topics such as airspace regulations, weather considerations, and operational safety.

  3. Pass the Knowledge Check
At the end of the course, you must pass a multiple-choice knowledge check to demonstrate your understanding of the material.

Obtain Your Completion Certificate

After successfully passing the online course, you will receive a completion certificate. Download and save this document for your records, as the FAA may request proof of renewal during inspections.

Continue to Fly Legally

Your renewed certification allows you to continue operating drones commercially under Part 107 regulations for another 24 months. Always carry proof of your Remote Pilot Certificate and recurrent training completion when flying.
