Manual Plus (M+) Mode Course Lock On Overview

  1. Access M+ Mode:

    • Tap the M+ icon in the top left-hand corner of the screen from task modes.

  2. M+ Features:

    • This mode calculates GPA (Gallons per Acre), flight speed, route spacing, and height for you.

    • Course Lock: Can be toggled on or off (even mid-flight). It locks the drone's orientation, allowing it to move left or right while maintaining the same heading.

  3. Route Spacing:

    • Primarily used when Course Lock is enabled to maintain consistent swath width between passes.

    • Still adjustable if Course Lock is off, but it may not be as precise.

  4. Starting the Spray Task:

    • Take off and position the drone where you want to begin spraying.

    • With Course Lock enabled, ensure the drone is facing the direction you want before confirming your task settings.

    • Once confirmed, the drone will adjust to your preset height and begin spraying automatically when you fly forward.

  5. Course Lock Control:

    • In Course Lock On, use the left/right shift buttons (bottom right of the screen) to move one swath over without rotating the drone.

    • You can still move left and right manually, but precise alignment depends on how straight you fly.

  6. Altitude Adjustments:

    • If you need to avoid an obstacle, like a bush, use the left stick to raise the drone manually.

    • Once you release the stick, the drone will return to the preset altitude.

    • Note: Increasing height may also widen your swath width.

  7. Adjustable Flight Settings:

    • Three adjustable bars on the left side of the screen let you modify:

      • Height.

      • Flight speed.

      • Spray amount.

      • Course Lock toggle (on/off).

    • To apply changes, tap Confirm.

  8. Spray System Control:

    • To pause spraying, tap the red spray button to turn off the system and move to a new position without spraying.

    • Once ready, tap the button again to resume spraying.

  9. Ending the Task:

    • Once you’ve completed your mission, tap End.

    • You'll receive a Task Confirmation Letter summarizing:

      • Total Acres sprayed.

      • Flight Time.

      • Total Amount Used.

      • Spraying Amount Per Acre.

This mode offers more control over the flight settings while automating parts of the spraying process, giving you flexibility in adjusting to different terrains and obstacles.

Note: With Course Lock ON you can still double spray an area.

Manual Plus (M+) Mode Course Lock Off Overview

  1. Accessing Course Lock Off:

    • While in Task Settings under M+ Mode, toggle Course Lock Off.

  2. Initial Setup:

    • Take off and fly the drone to roughly where you want to start spraying.

    • Tap Confirm to set your task settings.

    • The drone will adjust to your preset height.

  3. Spraying with Course Lock Off:

    • With Course Lock Off, you can rotate the drone freely, making it ideal for winding paths or situations where flexibility is required.

    • As soon as the drone moves forward, the spray system will automatically turn on.

  4. Movement Considerations:

    • If you shift directly right or left, a white line will appear on the screen, indicating the drone is not spraying.

    • To resume spraying, you need slight forward or backward motion for the system to activate.

  5. Best Usage:

    • Course Lock Off is generally best for single-pass situations where you need precise control over the drone’s orientation and path.

  6. Other Settings:

    • All other settings such as height, flight speed, and spray rate remain the same as when Course Lock is turned on.

This mode provides more freedom to adjust the drone’s heading and is especially useful when following paths that aren’t straight or when a precise spray pattern isn’t required.
