Planning a Field or Generating a Boundary

  1. Accessing the "Plan Field" Menu:

    • Go to the "Plan Field" option at the bottom right-hand corner of the home screen.

  2. Choosing Your Method:

    • You will have three options:

      • Walk with the RC: Walk the field while carrying the remote controller.

      • Fly the Aircraft: Use the drone to map the boundaries.

      • Walk with RTK: Use an RC connected to an RTK base station for increased accuracy.

    • For example, if you select Walk with the RC, you will see your location as a blue dot on the Google Map. The dot will move as you rotate and walk.

  3. GPS Accuracy:

    • In the top left-hand corner of the screen, you'll see how accurate the GPS signal is, which is important for creating a precise boundary.

  4. Adding Waypoints:

    • As you walk, tap "Add Waypoint" on the right-hand side (or press the C2 button on the RC) to mark your position.

    • Make sure to move in a consistent direction, either counterclockwise (CCW) or clockwise (CW), to avoid errors in your field boundary.

  5. Visualizing the Field:

    • As you add waypoints, you'll see the field boundary appear, along with a possible flight route in the middle.

  6. Saving the Field:

    • Once you're satisfied with the boundary, select "Save" at the bottom right-hand corner of the screen.

    • Enter a name for the field (required) and the crop type (optional), then hit Save again.

  7. Editing the Field:

    • After marking some points, you can further edit the field. You have multiple options for adding points:

      • Crosshair: Add points using the map interface.

      • RC: Continue walking with the RC to add more waypoints.

      • Drone: Use the drone to mark additional points.

This process ensures flexibility in planning your field, whether walking, using RTK, or flying the drone for more complex boundaries.
